The Restorative Justice Academy, a program at Catapult Learning’s William C. Goodridge Academy in York, Pennsylvania, was featured in a recent article in the York Dispatch. The successful program was implemented in 2014 by the York City School District to serve as an alternative to out-of-school suspensions. Students in grades 6−12 who receive suspensions lasting from 5 to 10 days have the option to enter into the program, where they engage in group counseling and school work instead of spending their suspensions at home.
Goodridge Academy, a district-approved alternative school managed and staffed by Catapult Learning, serves students from the York City School District in grades 8–12.
