In October the Delaware Department of Agriculture Ag Lab visited the High Road School of Sussex County. This unique opportunity provided the students an opportunity to experience learning in a different setting outside of the classroom. The students we divided into two different groups, Middle school went first then the High School students followed.

Each one of the students had the ability to learn and explore the four different types of soil found in Delaware. They were able to see what crops grow best in what type of soil and why that was possible. In the end they were able to properly plant a beet, water it and take it home to watch grow.
