Every Tuesday, Room 5 goes on a CBI to a place where they can apply some of the skills they learn inside the classroom out in the community. On this particular day, the class went to IKEA in West Sacramento. With staff guidance and assistance, the students practice their waiting skills by falling in line and practice their money skills by ordering and paying for their food. The students then sit on one table and eat all together giving them a chance to social and interact with staff/peer. After they finish their meal, they put away their plates and other eating utensils in the designated area.
