Ms. LaShea’s classroom had a field trip to Washington D.C. to visit the Smithsonian Space and Air Museum. During the space tour the students learn about the how the Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission, see Neil Armstrong’s space suit and observe the lunar flight. During the air tour students learned about the Cold War Aviation, Boeing milestone, the Wright Brothers and Aerobatic Flights. Students learned how Wilbur Wright flew the first public exhibitions of a Wright Flyer in France. The Wright brothers helped the military improve fighter tactics and aircraft technology.
