In the beginning of October, the transition team initiated an “Imagine Yourself” in this career initiative. Since then, we have had eight presenters meet with our students to talk to them about the challenges of pursuing their careers along with the positive outcomes that their careers have brought their lives. The first career that our students signed up to learn about was becoming a mechanic and a business owner.  Next, a chef came in and spoke about her hours and provided our students with an opportunity to make yogurt parfaits using plain yogurt, assorted berries and granola. At the end of the month, J.C. an art director spoke to students interested in the fields of graphic design and web mastery. In November our students heard from a barber and an IT Trainer. And this month a police officer, hair stylist and a professional DJ met with the students and entertained a myriad of questions the students had for them.
