High Road shared the love on Valentines Day. Students collected personal care items and sorted and packaged them for the residents of Covenant House of Philadelphia. Added to each bag was a card with words of encouragement written by various students who wanted to show respect and unconditional love for the less fortunate youth who occupy the shelter.
“It’s so sad that there are so man kids my age who don’t have families or homes. I was glad to do this for them. I like when we do stuff like this,” Khaleahaya Edwards, 9th grader from Gratz Lower, said.
