Mary Jane is a 7th grader in the High Road class at North Dorchester Middle. With her annual IEP approaching, it was an important time to think about plans for the future and what will come after high school. Together with her teachers, Mary Jane created this vision board to present at her meeting. She printed pictures off of the internet and cut them out of magazines, to tell her story. She hopes to take vocational classes in high school to learn more about plants and how they grow. Mary Jane feels that these would be the important skills she needs to know to become a florist. When completed, her vision board looked like a path that took her to high school, college, and to the career she wants. She did a great job talking about these plans at her IEP and enjoyed sharing her goals with the team of people helping her to achieve them!
