Our upper high school class visited the Ashland Nature Center. The class got to learn from an experienced instructor about the different types of reptiles indigene to our area. The students had hands on experiences with different types of turtles, frogs, and snakes. Students also partook in a wooden trail to learn about different leaves and trees. Students then went to a near by stream with nets to try to catch and identify different types of fish, tadpoles, salamanders, and craw fish.
