On October 1st, three classes started off the fall season with an exciting trip to Oma’s Pumpkin Patch! Upon arriving, the classes learned that Oma’s Pumpkin Patch was named after the owners grandma, who is Dutch! The students then took a hay ride past the sunflower field to the barn, where they learned about dairy cows and their calves, and other farm facts. Sierra Academy spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the pumpkin patch activities; cotton slides, bike races, hay maze, petting zoo, swings, and pipe slides. The classes ended the day with picking a personal pumpkin to take home!
