Students who earned blue and gold level were able to attend a Fun Friday trip to Hickory Hill Orchards in Cheshire! Students took a tractor drawn hayride to the orchard and picked apples. There were many different types of apples to pick. McIntosh, Empire, Cortland, Gala, Macoun, and Honey Crisp were just a few of the favorites. After picking apples, students boarded the hay ride and were driven back to the farm. There they enjoyed apple cider donuts and apple cider. They were able to enjoy these fall favorites while walking around the farm and seeing some of the farm animals. After they returned to school, students were able to enjoy a special lunch and free time outside to continue enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

Ms. Lieberman, one of the teachers chaperoning the trip, was very proud of the students on the trip for their great behavior. “They did awesome! All of them did an exceptional job following directions and they had a really fun time!” Members of the community and staff members at the farm even complimented students for their behavior while they were out. Nicely done blue and gold friends!
