Dr. Edward Fergus is a published author, applied researcher, professor at Rutgers University, and a partner to Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, to help schools address significant disproportionality. He is also a consultant to state departments of education and the U.S. Department of Justice and has dedicated much of his life’s work to exploring the effects of educational policy and practice as it intersects with people living in challenging conditions.
Dr. Fergus’ work outlines policy and practice changes for schools to develop as protective environments for vulnerable populations.
Susan Dean, LCSW-C – Director, Strategic Partnerships, Catapult Learning
Susan Dean is the Director of Strategic Partnerships with Catapult Learning and is a Maryland-licensed Clinical Social Worker. Since 2005, Susan has provided counseling and clinical support for students with disabilities and has served as a director overseeing therapeutic programming. In her current role, she designs collaborative programming to meet the needs of LEAs in strengthening their services for students with intensive academic and behavioral needs as well as building educator capacity.
