Join us if you dare, you’re in for a scare! Fall Ball is happening on October 31st for all our Antioch campuses! We have many games and activities planned for our students. Games include pumpkin bowling, spider races, boo toss, stack attack, and bobbing for apples. Activities for students to join in on the fun will be toilet paper mummy, guess the candy corn, pumpkin memory, Halloween mystery surprise, fall word scramble, and pin the spider on the web. Mrs. Amy’s science class conducted an erupting apple experiment using baking soda and vinegar for an awesome chemical reaction! Chemistry is all about states of matter including liquids, solids, and gasses. A chemical reaction occurs between two or more substances that change and form a new substance, and in this case a gas called carbon dioxide. Students used an acid, liquid: vinegar and a base solid: baking soda, and combined them to make a gas called carbon dioxide which produces the eruption you can see. The class loved seeing carbon dioxide escapes the mixture in the form of bubbles! [...]
