Catapult Learning is looking forward to attending the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE) 42nd Annual Conference in Kansas City, Missouri at the Kansas City Convention Center from November 19-23, 2014. The theme of this year’s event is “Brown v Board of Education:Reclaiming the Promise.” NABSE is a premier nonprofit organization devoted to furthering the academic successes for the nation’s children, especially those of African descent. Since they were founded in 1970, NABSE has been dedicated to improving both the educational experiences and the accomplishments of African American youth through the development and use of instructional and motivational methods that increase levels of inspiration, attendance and overall achievement. Each year the following awards are presented: Marcus Fostor Distinguished Educator Award, Mary McLeod Bethune Outstanding Teacher Award, Principal of the Year, Joseph E. Hill Superintendent of the Year, W.E.B. DuBois Higher Education Award, Ida B. Well Risk Taker Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Hall of Fame and Living Legend.
