Annual Leadership Institute to Feature Keynote Speakers Elizabeth Green
and Jennifer Abrams
Catapult Learning will host its 2015 Leadership Institute, “Building Better Schools, Building Better Leaders,” on February 18-20, 2015, in San Francisco, CA. Keynote speakers Elizabeth Green and Jennifer Abrams will headline this year’s conference, which will examine the challenges of reforming classroom practice and providing world-class instruction to all students. Green and Abrams are well-known speakers and authors committed to advancing the national conversation about transformation and leadership in education.
The keynote speakers, along with Catapult Learning seminar leaders, will explore these leadership challenges and help school leaders understand how to develop and support mastery-level teachers, prepare for the challenging conversations that come with change, create and support a culture of collaborative study among teachers, and learn effective instructional keys for improved student learning.
Elizabeth Green is the co-founder, CEO, and editor-in-chief of Chalkbeat, a nonprofit news organization that covers educational change efforts across the country. She is also the author of The New York Times bestselling Building a Better Teacher, which examines the hidden science behind the art of teaching. Ms. Green has written about education issues for The New York Times Magazine, U.S. News & World Report, and The New York Sun.
As an educational and communications consultant, Jennifer Abrams trains and coaches teachers, administrators, and others on successful instructional practices, supervision and evaluation, having hard conversations, and effective collaboration. Her book, Having Hard Conversations, helps educators speak with clarity and courage to directly address difficult situations within their schools.
