Catapult Learning is looking forward to sponsoring CAPE’s Board pf Directors and state CAPE representatives meeting at the DoubleTree Washington Hotel in Washington, DC from March 15-16, 2015. Board members include the CEOs of private school associations, state CAPE representatives, other private school representatives and some officials from the United States Department of Education. There will be a reception on Sunday evening for the board members followed by a luncheon on Monday that will provide participants with the opportunity to meet the board and state representatives.
The mission of the Council for American Private Education (CAPE) is to preserve and promote educational pluralism so that parents have a choice om the schooling of their children. CAPE’s goals are multiple. By speaking as one national voice CAPE: promotes the vital role of private schools in American education and their significant contribution to educating the public and promoting toe common good; encourages excellence and pluralism in education and promotes the right of private schools to fulfill their unique missions; fosters the participation of the private school community in shaping the nation’s education agenda and develops and promotes positions on national education policy; advocates the equitable opportunity of private school students to participate in appropriate state and federal education programs; monitors and analyzes legislation and regulation affecting private schools; provides information about private education to policy makers and the public and keeps the private school community informed on issues and programs.
