Distinguished Graduate Awards – Philadelphia, PA – March 18, 2015

dgaCatapult Learning is looking forward to attending the Distinguished Graduate Awards at the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 18, 2015. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is proud to host the annual Distinguished Graduate Awards honoring those whose vision, generosity, and shared commitment to living a Catholic life have inspired an appreciation for Catholic education. This years recipients are the Connelly Foundation and the Religious Sisters serving Catholic Schools within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Foe 60 years, the Connelly Foundation has been a beacon of help, hope, and enrichment for students in Philadelphia. Founded in 1955 by John and Josephine Connelly with the purpose of improving the quality of life in the Philadelphia area by initially concentrating on higher education, providing support for parochial schools, and being attentive to the needs of the disadvantaged by giving grants to Catholic healthcare and social service providers. Mindful of its heritage and inspired by faith, vision, and courage of its founders, the Foundation pursues a dual approach to grant making. It responds to proposals from nonprofit organizations and also works proactively as a source of help and hope to the community. For the last 25 years, the major focus has been the development of academic enrichment programs for the elementary and high schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, which includes two extensive scholarship programs serving approximately 600 high school students each year.

Some of the remarkable women that make up the Religious Sisters serving Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia attended catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, achieving the highest standard in education. Many actually set those standards by tirelessly helping to develop and staff the early schools of the Archdiocese. In doing so, they have set the benchmark of social, spiritual and academic excellence that has provided generations of students with the tools needed to become intellectually, morally and spiritually whole.

If you are also planning to attend this conference make sure to stop and ask one of our representatives to find out how Catapult Learning can help your educators and their students Achieve Beyond Expectations!
