Contract will support teachers in 168 schools on 60+ U.S. military bases throughout the Americas, Europe, and the Pacific.

August 2, 2016, Camden, New Jersey – Catapult Learning, Inc. today announced that the company has been awarded a contract for a base year and 4 option years by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) to provide Systemwide Literacy Professional Learning for K−12 staff in its schools throughout the world. A team of more than 80 Catapult Learning educators will lead the in-person professional learning implementations in 168 schools across 11 countries and 2 U.S. territories.

As part of this contract Catapult Learning, the largest provider of K–12 contracted instructional services in the U.S., will implement systemwide professional learning and literacy model units that focus on the DoDEA’s two priorities: addressing the adoption of the College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS); and establishing an organizational structure that will effectively sustain a high-quality, worldwide pre-K−12 school system to ensure that students meet the CCRS for Literacy and achieve at increasingly higher levels. The company will deliver face-to-face and virtual professional learning to ensure that DoDEA teachers have the skills, strategies, and structure to increase students’ academic performance, motivation, and preparation for college and careers.

The implementation of professional development and accompanying literacy model units began in June 2016. In addition to the 80+ Catapult Learning educators leading the in-person professional learning implementations in the DoDEA schools, a virtual support network will be available for DoDEA teachers to contact on an as-needed basis.
