COVID-19 Compensatory Services: BPS Student Registration

The Office of Special Education (OSE) has partnered with Catapult Learning (Catapult) to support the delivery of COVID-19 Compensatory Services, which are services that students were entitled to receive but missed due to COVID-19. The compensatory services being offered include math, literacy, rules-based reading, counseling, and several related services.

Due to the unique circumstances of this school year,  BPS has worked with Catapult Learning to offer these services to students outside of the school day on afternoons, Saturday mornings and during vacations.  Parents of BPS students who have missed services due to COVID-19 are eligible to enroll their students to receive compensatory services.

Parents have the option of choosing one of the following:

  • • Two 45 minute sessions
  • • Three 30 minute sessions
  • • One 90 minute session

Those sessions can be chosen within the following session availabilities:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

    Please indicate your child’s availability for our compensatory services and we will do our best to accommodate your preference.

    • Offered in either three 30-minute blocks, two 45-minute blocks, or one 90-minute block on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

    All sessions include math and literacy instruction as well as STEM and social-emotional activities with breaks as needed TBD
    Select up to three options that work for your child.

    (Only registered students attending a Boston Public school can attend COVID-19 Compensatory Services)
    By submitting this form, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
    (1) I am providing consent for my child to participate in COVID-19 Compensatory Services.  
    (2) I agree to receive communication via email, text, and phone regarding updates to this program.  
    (3) I permit my child’s Catapult Learning teacher to access their assessment scores for the purpose of instructional quality.  
    (4) I consent to my child’s image (photo or video) being used for promotional materials.
