Houston ISD Tutoring Program Delivers Gains in Math & Reading Performance

HISD Reading and Math Assessments Feb-May 2016 200x150Serving Title I schools with significant achievement gaps in math and reading is a challenge faced by many districts across the country. Houston Independent School District (HISD) needed a solution that would address these gaps and work towards improving student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR). To make this change happen, HISD partnered with Catapult Learning to provide a flexible and targeted tutoring solution for 1487 Title I students in 19 HISD schools serving this largely at-risk student population.

Saint Joseph Catholic School Students Make Significant Gains in TerraNova® Testing

Beginning in spring 2016 and continuing through the 2016–2017 school year, Catapult Learning partnered with Saint Joseph Catholic School to implement Focus on Achievement, an integrated program of formative assessments, professional development, and print and online teacher resources that helped teachers identify challenges and make instructional improvements to increase student achievement. The collaboration resulted in an overall increase in 

TerraNova® Test Scores in Reading, Language, and Math for grades 3–6.

Immediate & Sustained School Improvement in Virginia
