At Catapult Academy, we know that having a high school diploma will open doors to our student’s future. Careers they never thought possible start with their high school diploma. There are many benefits to earning your diploma versus a GED – Better career opportunities, higher salaries, college opportunities, and most of all, pride in yourself! Traditional high school just may not be right for everyone. That is why Catapult Academy is as unique and individual as our students are, from the way you learn or your commitments at home or work. So, we have created a blended learning model that is flexible and works with your individual style. Designed for comfort and set up for success, our learning environment offers you the freedom to move about between classrooms, independent study areas, one-on-one learning support, or computer labs.
Our teachers understand our students, the struggles they have endured, and the challenges they have faced. This dedicated team of licensed educators offers individual attention, additional support, and one-on-one counseling to create a unique success plan and help each student see it through, every step of the way.
College & Career advisors are available to help identify talents and find opportunities in the workforce, to include any certifications needed for particular jobs. Applications, financial aid, and scholarship guidance & support is available to students wishing to advance to college or university. Success coaches and other staff are here to help guide you on to a successful career path through career exploration exams, college & training program partnerships, seminars, resume writing, interview techniques, and more
Our blended learning environment consists of small-group core classes combined with online learning. Rigorous courses align with state standards and meet high school graduation requirements. You have access to certified teachers, tutors, and specialized coaches to help you every step of the way. Classroom teachers and virtual teachers communicate and work as a team to ensure your success. Counselors also meet with students regularly to go over graduation goals and progress.
We know you may have responsibilities outside of school, which may include work and taking care of family. While attendance is mandatory, Catapult Academy’s class schedule has built-in flexibility. You may choose either the morning session or the afternoon session. After your session is completed, most students can access online learning and tools at home to make additional progress. Online learning from home may also be available on the weekends and over breaks.
Catapult Academy is more than just a path to graduate with a high school diploma. Our goal is to ensure that all graduates are College and Career ready. You will have access to a College and Career Counselor who will work with you one-on-one to determine your post-graduation goals.
If you are going straight into the workforce after graduation, our curriculum prepares you with career readiness training including life skills, leadership skills, resume writing, interview skills, and key elements to prepare for a job search. We have partnerships within the community to assist with mentorships and internships as well as access to career fairs. If your chosen job field requires specific certification, we will identify the certificates needed and help you attain state/industry certifications.
Should you choose to continue your education in college, Catapult provides college and career success coaches to help with SAT/ACT test prep. We will work with you every step of the way by identifying colleges of interest, setting up campus tours and guiding you through the application process. Our team also identifies scholarship opportunities and works with you to create applications that showcase your strengths. Whichever path you choose after graduation, your Catapult Academy team is there to help
