Miami-Dade County Non-Public School Services
In 1999, with 60% of its students speaking a primary language other than English, Miami-Dade County Non-Public Schools needed a proven intervention program to address achievement gaps and improve student performance. Catapult Learning was selected by Miami-Dade County to provide a structured, systematic, data-driven intervention program for its Title I-eligible students. During the 2015–16 school year, students continued to show academic gains based on the i-Ready assessment results.
Catapult Learning Intervention Services were provided in one-hour sessions 2–5 days per week based on student needs. Working in small groups with a Catapult Learning teacher, students focused on mastering foundational skills in reading and math and participated in the Catapult Study Skills program. In addition, elementary and middle school students took part in Catapult Learning’s writing program.
