• Combines observation data, stakeholder feedback, and documented evidence to assess strengths and challenges.
• Includes activities like document reviews, lesson observations, and stakeholder focus groups.
• Benchmarks findings against best practices using the Catapult Learning School Development Rubric.
• Provides a comprehensive report with strengths, growth areas, and next steps.

The result is a detailed implementation plan designed to strengthen strong areas and address challenges, laying a solid foundation for ongoing improvement.

How School Transformation Helped Utah School Districts

During the 2015-16 school year, the San Juan and Granite School Districts in Utah had two schools each on the state’s transformation list. These schools required significant improvements in instructional practices.

Catapult Learning worked with school leadership to perform Collaborative Quality Analyses and needs assessments, which informed customized improvement plans. By 2018, all four schools successfully exited the transformation list.

Based on this success, Utah has partnered with Catapult Learning to support over 15 additional schools, all of which have also exited the transformation list. The partnership continues to drive success through professional development and tailored strategies.
