In its inaugural year with Summer Journey, Union R-XI School District has seen positive results, from enrollment to test scores to budget surplus, according to several recent articles posted on emissourian.com.
The school district saw over a 100% increase in it enrollment over its 2016 summer program. More than 1,100 students enrolled in the four-week program. Additionally, the district saw significant increase in summer testing scores from students’ pretests at the start of the program to the posttest at the end of the program. Most recently, the district confirmed a budget surplus as a result of adopting the summer program.
