The former CFO will manage the expansion of the company’s alternative education, dropout recovery, and special education schools and programs.
January 12, 2016, Camden, New Jersey – Catapult Learning, Inc. today announced the promotion of Andrea Vargas to President of the company’s Schools Division, effective immediately. Ms. Vargas most recently served as Corporate Chief Financial Officer, a position she assumed following Catapult Learning’s merger with Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) in July 2015. In her new role, Ms. Vargas will be responsible for the growth and development of Catapult Learning’s alternative education, dropout recovery, and special education programs.

Throughout her career, Ms. Vargas has developed a range of expertise through her financial, operational, and leadership positions. From 2004 to 2015, Ms. Vargas held several leadership roles with SESI, including Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, and Vice President of Finance. Prior to her tenure at SESI, she worked in various finance and accounting functions at several large corporations, including United Technologies. Ms. Vargas holds a BA in Finance from Bryant College, MBA from the University of Hartford, and CPA License issued by the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy.
