Catapult Learning Continues Rapid Expansion in Special Education

[PR Web] November 28, 2018 (Camden, NJ) – Catapult Learning, a leading provider of special education and instructional intervention solutions, today announced the acquisition of LifeShare USA’s Educational Resources division, a state-approved provider of private special education programming. The transaction expands Catapult’s special education services in Arizona and Colorado, two of the company’s fastest growing regions.

LifeShare USA marks Catapult Learning’s third acquisition in less than three months. The company recently acquired the Leeway School for Educational Therapy in Alhambra, California as well as the Capital Education Group, a leading provider of behavioral health services and private school programs for children with autism and other specialized learning needs in the Mid-Atlantic.

Catapult Learning’s special education programs are designed specifically for students classified with learning exceptionalities, such as autism spectrum disorder, and those with emotional and behavioral challenges. With more than 60 locations, Catapult Learning is one of the largest and fastest growing providers of special education services nationwide.

“This acquisition complements the organic growth we’ve seen in Arizona and Colorado,” said Catapult CEO Jeffrey Cohen. “LifeShare’s programs are closely aligned to ours and we will continue its tradition of individualized instruction, enabling all students to achieve triumphs both on and off campus.”

Educational Resources is a wholly-owned subsidiary of LifeShare Management Group, LLC. The Educational Resources programs have demonstrated consistent success in providing specialized education and therapeutic services to students across the disability spectrum, including those with autism, emotional disturbances, intellectual and learning disabilities and other health impairments.

“The ability to perform well in school is critical to self-esteem, self-confidence, the acquisition of basic life skills, and the ability to live as independent and productive citizens,” said Erik Ryan, formerly vice president for LifeShare Educational Resources who now joins the company as the new vice president of the West region. “I’m excited to join the Catapult Learning team. This acquisition ensures families in Arizona and Colorado have continued access to critical special education services by a leading national provider.”

The addition of Lifeshare USA’s Education Resources division marks important expansion for Catapult Learning in Arizona and Colorado. Other Catapult Learning locations in Arizona include the Sierra Academy (Scottsdale), Desert Heights Academy (Phoenix), and Aurora Day School (Peoria). Other Colorado locations include Sierra School at Main Street (Longmont), Sierra School of Weld County (Greeley), and the Nova Center (Littleton).

All of Catapult Learning’s special education schools are designed to meet the academic, behavioral, and emotional needs of K–12+ students facing intensive learning, language and social challenges. Implementing its signature academic and language acquisition models that incorporate supportive therapies and life skills training, Catapult Learning emphasizes guiding students to success and optimally preparing them for life beyond the classroom.
