Dunbar Hill Elementary School’s Intensive Support Classroom

Scientific Inquiry

During science, our students love to participate in hands on projects. These projects give students the opportunity to apply their learning in a fun way. Students are also able to work together and collaborate to accomplish tasks. Recently, students were challenged to create the tallest tower utilizing marshmallows, spaghetti noodles, and tape. The students were all engaged and created some amazing projects together and learned a lot about building structures. Visit our website to learn more about High Road School

Learning About Johnny Appleseed

Students in the Hamden In-District classroom have had an exciting fall. After learning about folktales and fables, including Johnny Appleseed, the students took a trip to pick some apples themselves. This trip allowed students to make real-world connections and to practice their social skills out in the community. Visit our website to learn more about High Road School
