Partnering to Build Better
In-House Behavior Programs
For school districts, placing a child with behavioral challenges in a local day school is cost-prohibitive. That’s why many districts turn to professional development and coaching to optimize their in-house behavioral programs for at-risk students.
The cost of sending students with behavioral challenges to a day school can be exorbitant, which is why many school districts opt to focus on developing their in-house behavioral programs. In the fall of 2022, when the Windsor Unified School District (WUSD) in California was searching for a solution that would allow them to stabilize and increase the capabilities of their high school behavioral program to serve at-risk students, they found Catapult Learning.
Upon forging a partnership, WUSD and Catapult Learning identified a suite of professional development workshops as well as leadership coaching that, when combined, would grow the skills and build the confidence of the BX Program Team. The success of this collaboration compelled WUSD to expand the scope of impact to include the Middle School BX Program during the 2023-24 school year.
Additionally, we are working toward revamping the district’s MTSS framework at their primary school, which serves as an entry point for K-2 students who are being considered for specialized academic and behavioral supports and interventions. For this endeavor, our Professional Development and Leadership Coaching Team for MTSS plans to work through a series of critical PD workshops and hold in-person and virtual coaching sessions with district and school staff to further assess and revise the district’s framework to align with best practices.
Your educators support all student needs. We support your educators, all the way.
Each school and district have their own unique needs. That is why a partnership with Catapult Learning includes tailored solutions that help educators address a range of academic challenges—including student behavioral issues and classroom management gaps. Behavioral issues, in particular, are one of the biggest barriers to unlocking learning. 3 in 5 principals say inadequate training in classroom management hampers efforts to address student behavioral issues.1 Our comprehensive training program is backed by decades of experience as educators and coaches.
