Students’ Visit to Norwalk Fire Department Featured in Local News

Students from High Road School of Norwalk had the opportunity to tour the Norwalk Fire Department during the month of February. Visits, organized by grade level, allowed the students to walk through the firehouse and spend time talking with the firefighters. High Road School of Wallingford’s PJ Day Featured in Local News

Several students at High Road School of Wallingford got to wear their pajamas to school on Friday, December 15. The annual event, known as PJ Day, is a fundraiser for the Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Students who give donations get to participate in PJ Day by wearing their pajamas to school. Now in its seventh year, the event was highlighted in an article in The Wallingford Patch. District Sees Improved Test Scores & Budget Surplus with Summer Journey

In its inaugural year with Summer Journey, Union R-XI School District has seen positive results, from enrollment to test scores to budget surplus, according to several recent articles posted on emissourian.com. The school district saw  over a 100% increase in it enrollment over its 2016 summer program. More than 1,100 students enrolled in the four-week program. Additionally, the district saw significant increase in summer testing scores from students' pretests at the start of the program to the posttest at the end of the program. Successful Summer Journey Program Featured in Local Missouri Newspaper

Maryville R-II School District’s Summer Journey program was featured in a recent article in the Maryville Daily Forum, a local newspaper in Maryville, Missouri. The school district, which has run its own summer program in past years, adopted Catapult Learning’s Summer Journey for its 2017 summer school program. The result was a dramatic increase in elementary enrollment, from 195 elementary students in 2016 to 316 elementary students this summer. Union R-XI School District is one of 35 Missouri school districts participating in Summer Journey, Catapult Learning’s summer program that enrolls nearly 25,000 Missouri students each year.
