Evaluate™, Catapult Learning’s next-generation assessment solution, earns prestigious education industry recognition.
Camden, New Jersey, April 8, 2016 – Catapult Learning, Inc. today announced that the company’s Evaluate™ formative assessment system was named a finalist for the 2016 SIIA CODiE Awards in the category of Best Student Assessment Solution. The SIIA CODiE Awards are the premier awards for the software and information industries and have been recognizing product excellence for 30 years. The awards offer 91 categories that are organized by industry focus in education technology and business technology.
Evaluate was named as one of the 160 finalists across 29 education technology categories.
Winners will be announced during a virtual award ceremony on May 18. The top honor of Best Overall Education Product will be presented at the Education Industry Symposium, the nation’s leading education technology conference, on July 26 in Denver, CO. The announcement will take place during a special celebration party and dinner.
The Evaluate assessment system supports 76,000 students, grades K−11, in 185 schools throughout the country. Through its formative assessments, real-time reporting, and individual question analysis, Evaluate engages students in their own learning, guides teachers as they target instruction, and allows administrators to identify instructional areas in need of additional resources and support. Its newest features, designed specifically for kindergarten and first-grade students, focus on audio and graphical elements to support emergent readers.
“We are honored by this recognition,” said Jeff Cohen, CEO of Catapult Learning, Inc. “Our Evaluate team has worked hard to create a state-of-the-art system with innovative features and functionality, and our education partners have responded positively.”
“Every year the list of CODiE finalists is a case study of how the ed tech industry is using new technologies in combination with knowledge about how people learn to respond to customer needs. They’re opening doors for learners of all ages,” said Karen Billings, vice president and managing director of ETIN.
