Student Spotlight: Andre M.

Andre M. is a current Senior at High Road Academy. Andre has become a member of the DORS Pre-ETS program, which assists Maryland students with job placement. Andre was able to obtain a job at Planet Fitness in Seat Pleasant, MD where he cleans the equipment and helps guests and other staff as needed “I really enjoy working there.” Andre says. Working Hard, Playing Hard

Last week students had the opportunity to earn a trip to the water park. Student of the month for St. Marks is Aaron A. He’s been doing a great job both academically and behaviorally. He has been such a hard worker during van crew and janitorial crew and has gained so much more independence in completing the work tasks. Meet our Student of the Month - Marcus! Marcus is a 10th grade student who started a part-time transition to his school of residence at the beginning of the current school year. Erin is our newest hired teacher and is already showing amazing natural talent. She has built rapport with all of her students and continues to feed off of their strengths to make their classroom a successful and fun place to learn. Sierra Strong is a morning exercise program focusing on getting ready for the school day by participating in energizing activities that will help to maintain focus, and attention to the task. Staff of the Month: Kristen Crosby

What impact has Kristen had on colleagues and students over the past month? Mrs. Kristen is now in her entering her 5th school year and 3rd year working with Mr. Joe and the lower high school students here at the High Road School of Harford County. She runs rotations for Math and English in the mornings and teaches Service Learning and Spanish in the afternoons.
